Namaste India Cappadocia

Super long Naan

Namaste India Cappadocia was the only one open amongst Indian restaurants in Cappadocia. And for an Indian vegetarian family, its usually the most filling and healthy option around. We loved their preparation especially their long naans, dal and flavourful paneer served with warmth in an ambience that could make you feel nostalgic even. Think old Bollywood posters and famous dialogues.

This post covers

  • Cuisine
  • Location and Opening hours
  • Our Order
  • Service
  • Ambience
  • Cost for 4
  • Rating on Food listing apps and sites(like Zomato)
  1. Cusine
    • As the name suggests, Namaste India Cappadocia serves primarily North Indian food with a lot of variety in both vegetarian and Non vegetarian
  2. Location, Parking and Opening Hours
    • There are not many Indian restaurants in Kapadokya aka Cappadocia, it being a relatively smaller area and all hotels catering to guests through in-hotel menu too.
    • As expected, Nothing is too far from anywhere in Cappadocia and the Indian restaurants in Cappadocia and other shops are found only in Goreme in this city center kind of an area.
    • Enough parking available around Namaste India Cappadocia and it was surrounded by souvenir and handicraft shops
  3. Our Order
We had very low expectations from Indian restaurants in Kapadokya and the same help true for Namaste India Cappadocia too. Contrary to our expectations, we found the food really yum partly because we hadn’t had Indian food in the last 3 days before Cappadocia and as a family were craving for it J. Otherwise too, we quite liked their preparations.
We ordered the following and at different points did dine in and take away too:
    • Kadhai Paneer
    • Yellow Dal
    • Zeera Aloo
    • Naan
    • Lachha Paratha
    • Rice
  4. Service:
    • Indian warmth guaranteed as in Indian Restaurants in Cappadocia or anywhere else in the world.
    • It’s not rushed up or too slow
    • They don’t usually do hotel deliveries and since its located very close (7-8mins walking distance) to most of the cave suite hotels in Goreme, worth a take away vs waiting for the delivery
  5. Ambience
    • For Indian restaurants in Kapadokya, Bollywood seemed to be a great idea as any Indian is bound to connect deeply to Bollywood – so its funky and ethnic at the same time
  6. Cost for 4
    • For something like what we ordered it would be in the range of TL 200.
  7. Rating on Tripadvisor
    • The rating doesn’t matter as it’s the only Indian restaurant in Cappadocia
