The Globetrotters in Rann of Kutch

About Me

A vegetarian family traveling with kids to all parts of the world is possible and this is what my blog is all about.
Hi, I am Shruti Rustagi, the Globetrotmom.

“The sand may brush off, the salt may wash away but the memories will last forever”

I’m passionate about new experiences (places, activities and cultures). I have stayed in India and Dubai and travelled the globe, rather some corners of it.

A lot of my friends were not avid travelers, not because they did not enjoy traveling, rather because they did not enjoy the experience of a vegetarian family traveling with kids (read infants, toddlers and little ones). A large part of my extended family was always wary of places where they would not get vegetarian food and sometimes, that became the criteria for choosing a destination.

I on the other hand, have been traveling since my childhood, and it is such an integral part of me and my life that when I had children, I never once felt that traveling with them being a vegetarian is going to be difficult. My own trips to places which are not exactly Disneylands and vegetarian friendly, inspired me to start this blog to help some of the fellow families and travelers.

The best things in life are the people we love, the places we have been and the memories we’ve made along the way

Through this blog, I want to do my bit to help create beautiful memories of family vacations that will last for a lifetime and beyond.. Itineraries, travel planning, ideas on packing with kids including food and sundry from our travel experiences: both lazy and packed vacations, across history, architecture, beaches, mountains, temples and what not.

Saurabh & I strongly believe that vacation is family time. We are strong proponents of holidaying with kids and sometimes even with extended family. So this blog is about how neither being a vegetarian nor having kids should deter you from traveling to the most exotic of places.

If you believe that vacation is family travel time, no matter the ages (both young and old), you have come to the right place 🙂
