Travel to Dubai on a budget

Dubai on a budget

Dubai can get a bit expensive and if you want to travel to Dubai on a budget without compromising on the fun, look no further. Here you will find many Dubai budget travel tips especially if you are traveling with family, kids and elderly alike.

Deals on attractions

The best option to check the deals on attractions is Headout. It is an app anyone all over the world can download although It is currently live in some cities only, Dubai and Abu Dhabi being one of them. Some of the marquee experiences listed in Headout include Burj Khalifa entry tickets, At the Top Burj Khalifa with a pastry at the cafe, La Perle tickets (a Cirque du Soleil kind of show in Dubai), Renting a yatch, Desert Safari, entrance tickets to Dubai Garden Glow, Dubai zoo and aquarium combos etc.
Hunting for deals is the first on my Dubai budget travel tips list.

BOGO (Buy 1 Get 1)

If you want to travel to Dubai on a budget with kids or extended family, looking for BOGO deals could save you lots. You can also download and subscribe for Entertainer Dubai. Unlike Headout, its not a free app but you can end up saving a lot with Entertainer and on an overall basis so you will be better off paying for its subscription and using it.

Entertainer is not restricted to only attractions, rather it has a lot of experiences and restaurants listed as part of its package too.

Some of the noteworthy ones being Renting a yatch, Desert Safari, Kidzania for kids, Magic Planet for kids, countless restaurants you may want to try.

Travel Options and choosing the best

Traveling from your home country to Dubai is the very first leg of spent and thus it should be optimized when planning to travel to Dubai on a budget. I have scouted a lot of ticket booking sites and the best one so far is Kayak. Be on a lookout for special deals and offers as sometimes Cleartrip and Skyscanner also offer very competitive prices.

World cuisine in some of the best value for money restaurants

Not all the restaurants will burn a hole in your pocket. The following is a list of restaurants you can try for authentic cuisine and super high value for money.
Operation Falafel (Lebanese, for its ginormous portions, stuffed falafels and amazing wraps), Oregano (Italian, for its mouthwatering Minestrone soup and sumptuous pizza) and Bikanerwala (North Indian street food at jaw dropping prices).

Stay options

Optimizing on the stay is the last of my Dubai budget travel tips. There are a lot of options of studio/ hotel apartments and Airbnb in Dubai. One option is to rent an apartment close to Dubai Marina, which has a lovely promenade and a whole lot of restaurants nearby. There are also a lot of supermarkets in close proximity for everyday requirements with kids. These may turn out to be cheaper and way more convenient with kids. Other option could be staying in a hotel like Park Regis in the Bur Dubai area. You are bound to get some great Indian food and if Gold shopping is on the list, it will be closer to the Gold Souq and shops in Bur Dubai too. Some of the other good options in a budget hotel are Holiday Inn and Radisson Blu in Media city.
